Website terms
These terms apply to use of cablehq.co.uk. Purchases are also subject to the separate terms of sale.
1. About these terms
This website is operated by TJ Calver Holdings Ltd (company number 17222224), whose registered office is 5 The Village, Main Road, Fleggburgh, Great Yarmouth, NR29 3DL, United Kingdom, trading as CableHQ.
By using this website, you agree to these website terms. If you buy goods, the terms of sale also apply. Privacy is addressed in the privacy notice.
2. Access to the website
CableHQ aims to keep the website available and accurate but may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it for maintenance, security or business reasons. Continuous or error-free access is not guaranteed.
You are responsible for ensuring that anyone using the website through your connection knows and follows these terms.
3. Accounts and security
- Provide accurate information and keep account details up to date.
- Do not allow another person to misuse your account or sign-in session.
- Tell CableHQ promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- Do not attempt to bypass access controls, probe security or disrupt the service.
CableHQ may restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect customers or the service.
4. Permitted use
You may use the website for lawful personal or business purchasing and product research. You must not:
- use the website for fraud, unlawful activity or infringement of another person's rights;
- introduce malicious code, overload the service or interfere with another user;
- scrape, copy or commercially exploit substantial website content without permission;
- misrepresent your identity, relationship with CableHQ or authority to place an order.
5. Website content and intellectual property
Website design, text, graphics, branding, software and original content are owned by or licensed to CableHQ. Product names, trade marks and imagery may belong to their respective owners.
You may view and print reasonable extracts for purchasing decisions, but no other rights are transferred without written permission.
6. Product and technical information
CableHQ takes reasonable care with product descriptions, compatibility information, prices and stock indications. Images may be illustrative, colours can vary by display, and manufacturers may update specifications. Recommendations are based on the information supplied by the customer and do not replace manufacturer documentation, site assessment or professional design and installation advice. Confirm all safety-critical, regulatory and compatibility requirements before purchase and installation.
This does not limit any statutory right, including where a consumer has made a particular purpose known to CableHQ and reasonably relied on CableHQ's skill or judgement.
7. Links and external services
The website may link to external services used for accounts, payment, delivery, support or reference. CableHQ is not responsible for unrelated external content and a link does not imply endorsement.
8. Responsibility for loss
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. If you are a consumer, CableHQ is responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, but not for loss that was not foreseeable or for business loss.
If you use the website for business purposes, CableHQ is not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, goodwill or data, or for indirect or consequential loss, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Where a claim relates to an order, the business-customer liability provisions in the terms of sale also apply. CableHQ is not responsible for loss caused by unlawful or improper use of the website, incompatible equipment, events outside reasonable control, or reliance on information that was clearly identified as requiring confirmation. Consumer statutory rights are not affected.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under applicable law.
